The Director, Revenue Management - Franchise Hotels leads a team of Central Directors, Senior Revenue Managers, Revenue Managers, Specialists and Analysts while performing revenue management services for a set of complex properties to influence room revenue performance for hotels. This person will need to be able to work across all WHG brands and among different levels of hotels and scope of service to those hotels. Additionally, this person will need to be able to work across three different Central Reservation Systems. This person will also manage the overall portfolio relationship as well as owner relationships for the hotels their team represents.

This person is responsible for all aspects of revenue management for their own, as well as the team's, assigned portfolio of hotels. They will work closely with hotel leadership in analyzing price positioning in local market and comp set, developing and implementing pricing and inventory strategies, managing distribution channels, and working with OTA market managers to best position the hotels.

The position also leads a team of Central Directors, Senior Revenue Managers, Revenue Managers, Specialists and Analysts who are each responsible for providing revenue management service to an assigned portfolio of hotels. There will be approximately eight direct reports across three bands and levels of experience reporting to each Director of Franchise Revenue Management. This person will be coordinating the workload on their respective team and managing the day to day activities including coaching team members to achieve their hotels' goals. They are responsible for training their team, ensuring they are applying best practices in their pricing/inventory strategies and providing direction in a revenue management capacity. This person will manage the daily functions and assignments of the analysts in order to support the proper work flow required within their group.

Responsibilities

Perform revenue management service for a select group of hotels; typically these will be more complex hotels. Manage all aspects of rate & inventory management as outlined in the Revenue Management services contract.

Team Leader of Central Directors, Sr. Managers, Revenue Managers, Specialists and Revenue Analysts, providing direction on revenue management best practices, PMS/CRS/systems, third party channel relationship management and Distribution Channel Management.

Staffing, Training & Development: Sourcing, interviewing and hiring of new team members as growth, attrition and promotions occur. Leads the molding and development of team. Afford the opportunity to team members to learn brand standards, exposure to RM tools, provide coaching, guidance and hands on experience making them confident and secure in their current positions and preparing them for upward movement in the department. Conduct performance appraisals; work with the team members on development plans in Success Matters and any other Wyndham structured tools.

Portfolio Relationship Management: To act as the key point of contact for portfolio and team properties. Forge and maintain positive relationships with key property contacts as well as owner relationships. Their actions, presence, commercial sense and Count on Me approach and values will position them as a positive ambassador for WHG.

Performs ad hoc projects as necessary within the revenue management franchise group. This may involve working within the larger department to ensure consistency across teams and within the matrix organization.
