Job Description

The Pool Attendant will be responsible for providing the guests with a comforting and relaxing environment; maintaining the pool area in a clean and inviting manner. Create a positive atmosphere while engaging with guests and fellow associates.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Enthusiastic greeting of guests by name when possible
• Provide pool towels, water and towels to guests throughout the day
• Consistent walk through of the pool area to ensure cleanliness and tidiness at all times
• Ensure all pool chaises are in a clean orderly fashion
• Inspect entire pool area for cleanliness including washrooms
• Assist in serving guests with food requests
• Must be able to work outside during high temperature weather

HOTEL SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:

• Must be able to operate micros and radio communications
• Must be able to effectively communicate with all associates and guests in a positive manner

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

• Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by supervisor or manager.
• Assist in other departments as needed
• Attend monthly departmental meetings

TOOLS/EQUIPMENT:

• Micros Machine
• Radio/Walkie talkie system

Qualifications

• Degree Type High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous guest service experience is preferred
• Excellent customer service skills
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays
