Job Description

POSITION OBJECTIVE

Manage the lifecycle of the account post acquistion with the following objectives namely enhancing revenues and mitigating losses. Develops and deploys champion/challenger strategies to maximize performance of the credit portfolio. Interacts with all the operational and support areas within the credit division to dissiminate information relating to the impacts from the strategies to the respective areas.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESaccount lifecycle management

  • Responsible for management of the credit account life cycle.
  • Oversee and maintain responsibility for credit line decisions.
  • Oversee and maintain responsibility for over limit authorization decisions.
  • Champion/challenger strategy implementation: establishes, maintains and updates automated risk segmentation tool.

credit p&l modeling

  • Responsible for loan loss model development and forecasting.
  • Oversee and maintain resposibility for collection strategy design.
  • Oversee and maintain resposibility for fraud strategy design.
  • Analyze and determines future implications of historical performance.

portfolio performance monitoring

  • Performance monitoring and validation of champion/challenger strategies.
  • Validation and stability of decisions implemented over the lifecycle.
  • Provide analysis and recommendation on asset sales and asset growth to maximize profits and minimize loss.
  • Monitor to ensure quality control processes are in place to protect the overall health of the credit portfolio.

performance reporting

  • Monthly/quarterly reporting for portfolio perfomanceand champion/challenger results.
  • Provide quarterly performance reviews on asset stability and performance.
  • Work with business partners to provide adhoc reports as requested.
  • Identify and deliver reporting to address key business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

required

  • Bachelors degree in Stastics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance or Computer Science
  • Advanced level of SAS programming experience
  • Deep knowledge of and experience with the credit life cycle
  • In-depth knowledge of adaptive control systems
  • 5+ years experience in the financial service industry

preferred

  • Masters degree in Business Administration
  • Direct experience with managing a credit card portfolio, private lable or co-branded
  • Critical thinking capability
  • Advanced interpersonal and communications skills (verbal, written and listening)
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to manage multiple tasks

  • 10-15% domestic or international travel
