The Massage Therapist is responsible to service all customers according to Company and departmental standards and policies and procedures. To provide high quality massage and body treatment services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND TASKS

  • Performs massages and body treatments in a professional and timely manner.
  • Learns and becomes proficient in all body treatments offered within 90 days of employment.
  • Adheres to the policies and procedures of the Spa Department.
  • Provides positive service standards including but not limited to courtesy, sincerity and enthusiasm to all guests.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment for guests and employees.
  • Stocks and restocks massage rooms with necessary supplies.
  • Attends meetings and/or training sessions scheduled by Spa Director and Spa Assistant Managers.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested by the Spa Director and Spa Assistant Managers.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or equivalent and one year Massage Therapy or Spa Operation experience. Must be at least 21 years or older

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Mississippi Massage Therapy License

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude and ability to deal effectively with guests and management.
  • Good attendance, a "positive" attitude, team player skills are a must.

PHYSICAL DEMAND:

  • Constantly standing, bending, pushing, pulling, kneading, balancing, twisting, manual dexterity, wrist motion, eye/hand coordination, reaching and handling.
  • Constantly planning, hearing, speaking, listening, making and following directions.
  • Constantly paying attention to and observing guests.
  • Constantly mentally and physically alert.
  • Occasionally lifting up to 75 lbs.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work performed indoors, in climate controlled environment. Walking on a variety of surfaces including carpet, tile and marble. Moderate noise level. Ability to work with others and alone.

WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS:

Regular scheduled hours. Must be flexible if needed for occasional work outside of normal business hours.
