The Analyst Compensation Sr is responsible for the generation and analysis of complex HR related reports that support the business in the management of employees throughout the organization. Develops recommendations based upon report findings to support a strong employee culture and maximize revenue for the organization.

  • Conducts detailed statistical analysis, data modeling, and costing of pay programs for various compensation initiatives, including the development of cash and incentive program proposals and recommendations.
  • Develops, conducts, and/or participates in industry or other wage and salary surveys; analyzes and interprets results, applying information to compensation planning.
  • Leads organizational studies, market pricing initiatives, salary survey participation, and base pay program evaluation; determines appropriate survey benchmarks for jobs at all MGM Resorts properties using recognized compensation practices and methodologies.
  • Leads work teams as needed to develop and implement new compensation plans, including incentives, commissions, and base salary changes; identifies appropriate SMEs from across the company to ensure a successful outcome.
  • Provides interpretation of and ensures compliance with federal and state legal requirements concerning employee pay, including FLSA and Wage & Hour regulations; maintains current knowledge of appropriate regulations.
  • Interacts regularly with all levels of management to address complex employee compensation issues and to develop and implement effective solutions; prepares and presents presentations as needed.
  • Perform other job related duties as requested.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field or equivalent education and experience.
  • At least 6 years of compensation experience that represents increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or actively pursuing.
  • Knowledge and experience using a point-factor job evaluation system.
  • Knowledge and experience identifying and completing comprehensive salary surveys.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience developing and implementing base pay and cash incentive programs.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree in business or a related field.
  • Hospitality experience.
  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
