POSITION SUMMARY:

Maintain, order and rotate stock in the liquor and soda room. Help control beverage costs through proper transferring of product. Daily cleaning and maintenance of bars.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND TASKS

• Clean and organize bar to beverage and health department standards
• Replenish and stock fruit trays, beer coolers and mixers
• Ability to perform tasks that require standing and/or moving at a fast pace for periods of up to eight hours or longer.
• Ensure that bar is maintained and left stocked and cleaned for next shift.
• Ringing of all beverages poured or served
• Deliver orders from warehouse to bars
• Operates an electric pallet jack.
• Ensures proper set up, stocking and delivery of liquor supplies, glasses and ice.
• Require purchasing rolled coin for video poker machines for bartender
• Complete proper paperwork for bar transfers
• Maintains cleanliness of pump room, soda room, coolers and equipment.
• Be familiar with and abide by all MGM/Mirage policies and procedures, Beau Rivage and Beverage departmental policies and procedures

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or equivalent and one year high volume hotel/casino or nightclub experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Knowledge and ability to use computer register, credit card approval and imprint machine Must be capable of following directions Must possess good recall and memory Must be able to speak, read and write English

PHYSICAL DEMAND:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently standing, walking, listening, and speaking. Frequently walking distances of 10 to 30 ft., between various areas of bar. Frequently walking distances up to 500 ft. Frequently using wrist motion, dexterity, and eye-hand coordination, reaching, twisting and balancing. Frequently heavy lifting above head. Frequently carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 200 lbs.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work performed in indoor and outdoor environments with hot and cold temperature changes. Employee will be required to stand on concrete floors, tiles/mats and walk on uneven or wet surfaces in confined spaces. Employee may be exposed to secondhand smoke and kitchen odors. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS:

Regular scheduled hours. Must be available to work all shifts. Must be flexible if needed for occasional work outside of normal business hours.
