As an eCommerce QA Analyst, you will be responsible for completing significant portions of critical work relevant to QA standards of H-E-B eCommerce. Operating with a moderate level of latitude, and performing work with minimal supervision, your decisions may affect others' work within a defined frame of reference for specific QA-related objectives.

We are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or info systems or equivalent
  • Experience as a QA Tester, Software QA Engineer, or QA Analyst (preferably in a SCRUM or Agile software development lifecycle environment)
  • Strong analytical skills

What is the work?

Quality Assurance:

  • Develops / designs test plans to assess software quality
  • Designs / defines testing approach, scope of testing effort, and entry / exit criteria
  • Performs various types of testing, including integration, system, functional, user acceptance, regression, and usability
  • Reviews / understands requirements to complete test case development and approach to execution
  • Ensures QA / testing best practices and processes are followed
  • Communicates test results and out-standing defects / issues, focusing on risk
  • Performs duties of the QA Analyst I

Analytics:

  • Tracks, analyzes, and reports test execution progress, defects, and fixes delivered for product development
  • Collects / analyzes information regarding process analysis, evaluation, and improvements to address gaps

Coaching / Mentoring:

  • May provide guidance and coaching to less experienced team members

What is your background?

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical area (e.g., computer science, information systems) preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 years of experience as a QA Tester, Software QA Engineer, or QA Analyst (preferably in a SCRUM or Agile software development lifecycle environment)
  • 3 years of experience designing, developing, executing, and documenting results of manual testing
  • 3 years of experience using QA / testing tools for test planning, test case development and maintenance, and defect tracking for manual testing
  • Experience working with on-site / off-site vendors and contractors to complete testing deliverables
  • Experience using testing tools for test planning, test case development, test execution, and defect management
