POSITION SUMMARY:

To provide the highest quality Food & Beverage service in a high volume, fast paced, limited service environment. Must be 21.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND TASKS

  • Provides prompt, friendly, courteous and cheerful food and beverage service to guests
  • Serves alcoholic beverages to guests and verifies age of any guest who looks under the age of thirty
  • Alerts Management immediately if any guest appears to be intoxicated
  • Thanks all guests for their patronage
  • Uses guest surname, if known
  • Maintains cleanliness of the entire outlet (i.e. floors, tables, ledges, counters, etc.)
  • Maintains familiarity with all menu items and specials
  • Follows all uniform and appearance standards
  • Must be knowledgeable and informative of all casino events and promotions
  • Ensures that tables and condiment stations are clean and all side work is properly done
  • Accurately records all guest transactions in POS system
  • Responsible for picking up, reconciling and returning cash bank
  • Ensures accurate deposits are accounted for through the Satellite Bank
  • Offers additional service to ensure a satisfactory experience
  • Assists with initial guest complaints and informs manager on duty immediately
  • Conducts regular inventories and recommends product orders to Manager on Duty
  • Able to render outstanding guest service at all times
  • Ensures food items are constantly stocked and properly rotated
  • Able to remain in control during high volume guest situations
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned by management

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or equivalent and one year of high volume counter or fast food service experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge and ability to use computer register, credit card approval and imprint machine
  • Ability to use a telephone, copier, computer, 10 key and machine
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English

PHYSICAL DEMAND:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently standing, walking, listening, using computer, telephone, and speaking.
  • Frequently walking distances of 10 to 30 ft., between various areas of department. Occasionally walking distances up to 1000 ft.
  • Frequently using wrist motion, dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and writing, typing on computer keyboard.
  • Occasionally carrying, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work performed in climate-controlled environment with occasional hot and cold temperature changes. Employee will be required to stand on concrete floors, tiles/mats and walk on uneven or wet surfaces. Employee may be exposed to second hand smoke, chemicals or dust. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS:

Regular scheduled hours. Must be flexible if needed for occasional work outside of normal business hours.
