Heirloom-quality gowns, party dresses, and accessories—from hair adornments and jewelry to footwear and lingerie—are available through an online shop (www.bhldn.com) and in two stores in Houston, TX and Chicago, IL.

Overview

BHLDN is looking for an outstanding and talented Junior Designer who can craft compelling visual narratives and interactive projects. You will report to the Design Manager and be an integral part of our unique and highly creative design team. This person will conceive and present creative treatments to support BHLDN's branding, marketing campaigns, product launches, and store events, and revise and refine these treatments based on feedback from the Design Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Research and brainstorm with team members to create innovate ideas/solutions
  • Create compelling design work for BHLDN
  • Create unique Branded marketing messages for store events
  • Designs remarking ads across multiple channels
  • Able to communicate and sell a creative vision
  • Collaborate with Copy, Marketing and Merchandising Teams
  • Respond well to feedback and also able to give constructive feedback
  • Ability to troubleshoot software and equipment and maintaining detailed file-based workflow

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of professional design experience
  • Fluency with core graphic design principles (typography, form, color, composition, etc.)
  • Background in Art and Illustration, must have a strong illustrative hand
  • Hand-lettering experience is a plus
  • Expertise in the use of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Understanding of the BHLDN brand
  • Excellent organizational, time management and detail-oriented skills
  • Self-motivator who can generate ideas for projects independently and collaboratively
  • Must be able to prioritize and meet deadlines

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Fashion, Business, or a related field.
