• Deliver orders from the warehouse to the bar outlets and restaurants.
• Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers, wines and non-alcoholic selections available.
• Assist Bartenders on the execution of service and follow the Bartender's direction.
• Empty trash.
• Wash glasses to ensure bar is fully stocked.
• Mop floors as necessary to ensure a clean, safe work area.
• Respond to Bartenders' needs by running for liquor, glassware, stock, etc.
• Perform all opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment.
• Properly use two-way radio, knives and pallet jacks.
• Greet guests upon arrival and departure, using guest's name when known, and encourage them to return.
• Effectively communicate with management, bartenders and service staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and or other employees.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
• Maintain knowledge of the particular characteristics and description of every wine/champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine list.
• Restock ice.
• Use all chemicals in accordance with OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.
• Performs all other job related duties as requested.

Required:

• Ability to use two-way radio, knives and pallet jacks.
• Working knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers, wines and non-alcoholic selections available.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

Preferred:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of previous experience as a Bar Porter.
• Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
