Warehouse Maintenance Technician

Dollar Tree's Savannah, GA distribution center is looking to add skilled maintenance technicians to our team. You will be an essential member of the maintenance team that ensures this busy, 24/7 distribution center is able to perform at its best. We have various shifts and roles available.

General Summary: The Warehouse Maintenance Technician at Dollar Tree handles preventiative and routine maintenance as well as emergency repairs of equipment in a fully automated retail distribution center. Duties include construction, installation, repairs, and maintenance of equipment, machinery, structures, and electrical systems at the distribution center.

Essential Job Functions:

• Perform scheduled and preventive maintenance of equipment (i.e. conveyor, lifts), machinery, electrical systems, and structures using blueprints, diagrams, manuals, and written instructions while adhering to safety guidelines to ensure equipment is working so that efficient operations are maintained.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair malfunctions promptly, including equipment and machinery malfunctions, using blueprints, manuals and written instructions.
• Construct, install or repair equipment in accordance with manufactures guidelines and repair manuals.
• Assist in the training and instruct General Maintenance Associates in the maintenance of the building and grounds, ensuring that maintenance is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Perform general warehouse duties, as required, including loading and unloading trailers and use of forklift type equipment.

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong electrical, mechanical and mathematical skills
• Previous experience as a forklift mechanic, conveyor repair technician, electrician, or similar is highly desirable
• Three to five years industrial maintenance experience or equivalent
• Must be flexible to working various shifts, based on business needs
• Skills in welding, milling machines, hand and power tools, and electrical motors
• P.C. literate
