Basic Qualifications

What you bring to the role:

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Proven skills utilizing MS Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Strong interest in Television and the Entertainment Industry.
  • A passion for post-production and production administration.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and prioritize.
  • Proven organizational skills while ensuring attention to detail.
  • A positive attitude and an eagerness to learn.

PLUS

  • All candidates must be eligible to work in the US.
  • All candidates must be at least 18 years old.
  • All candidates must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class – OR – be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months - OR - be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program in order to qualify for this internship.
  • All candidates must be available during the months of early June through late August for the Summer internship program.
  • All candidates must be available to work M-F 40 hours/week in Burbank, CA.
  • All candidates must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session.

Responsibilities

A day in the life…

The intern will assist the ABC Studios Post Production and Production teams as they manage pilots and series, and will gain a closer look into the logistical development and daily maintenance of shows for Network, Cable, and New Media. This opportunity can lend itself to a brief show-level experience and one-on-one time with ABC Studios executives.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Administrative and office duties including copying, filing, etc.
  • Desk coverage: answering phones, managing schedules, scheduling meetings.
  • Local errands to various post facilities.
  • Managing show files and media storage in post vault.
  • DVD dubs; QC burn, label and deliver per distribution list requirements.
  • Learning the day-to-day process of managing post production on series from the corporate side of the business.
