DMG also releases family music and film and television soundtracks such as the Oscar- and Grammy-winning Frozen soundtrack, the Grammy-nominated Guardians of the Galaxy, chart-topping soundtracks including Moana, Beauty and the Beast and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, plus Coco and Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The Digital Specialist is responsible for creating, steering and routing all assets and web development projects across Disney Music Group's releases, which includes artists on the Hollywood Records label, as well as Soundtracks/Products attached to our Studio Films, company TV properties and legendary Disney Music Catalog and Walt Disney Records brand. This role reports directly to the Director, Sales and Digital, and is responsible for the following:

Basic Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience working in the music or entertainment industry
  • Proven success building and maintaining internal and external relationships – diplomacy and interpersonal skills are a necessity. Customer relations experience a plus
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • High level of familiarity, even expertise, in social media platforms and the types of assets used therein
  • Experience with various CMS platforms (WordPress, Tumblr, Squarespace, Drupal)
  • Experience managing relationships across various D2C and B2B solutions
  • Excellent organizational skills. Strength in multitasking is a must

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead, ideate, account manage, assess and route all social assets for use across DMG's roster of artists and projects
  • Source and route asset for feedback and approval to internal and external stakeholders
  • The above includes assets to be used with social media platform partners that include, but are not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Tumblr, Flipagram, YouTube and the like

  • Research and manage third party relationships and design agencies for development of assets – social and web
  • Ideate, create, and route all web builds for DMG artists and properties, and handle hosting solutions as it pertains to internal or external partners; inclusive of domain and DNS registrations and upkeep
  • Source and route web builds internally and externally for feedback and final approvals

  • Ensure compliance within DMG in terms of assets created and websites built, route materials for internal review across corporate structure within the company, including legal review
  • Work with additional Director, Sales + Digital, on D2C projects for DMG, including development work, asset creation, and compliance review
  • Route and build (via third parties) promotional redemption pages – gift with purchase, download pages, and the like
  • Encompasses sourcing and working with vendors, as well as routing for approvals

  • Support YouTube/Vevo optimization, including page design + layout, asset creation, page optimization + monetization strategies
  • Manage aspects of data collection with regards to compliance, privacy policies, and COPPA, working closely with DMG Corporate legal as needed
  • Ensure compliance overall on all projects, builds and assets created for DMG
  • Responsible for maintenance + updates of Hollywoodrecords.com and Disney Music sites
  • Continually evaluate competitors and industry trends.
