Job Summary

The Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort is hiring for a Full Time Mason / Gardener to join their team.

Your primary responsibilities will include building walls with bricks, building planter boxes, laying tile, pouring concrete to make sidewalks, and handling stucco repairs. You will also work as a landscaper as business needs require.

You will be working 8 hour shifts that may start as early as (5am) depending on time of year and season. Days would be Monday - Friday, and generally have Saturday and Sunday's off (Schedule is subject to change based on business needs). This position starts at 14.84 per/hr.

What will I be doing?

As a Mason / Gardener Maintains, repairs and creates caulked, grouted, plastered and masonry surfaces. Sets tiles and cinder blocks. The Mason/Gardener also is responsible for maintaining the appearance of the gardens and grounds in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Maintaining, repairing, and creating caulked, grouted, plastered and masonry surfaces.
• Set and repair tiles and cinder surfaces
• Maintain the appearance of the hotel gardens and grounds applying landscaping techniques including, but not limited to, pruning, fertilizing, planting, weeding, trimming, watering, mowing and cleaning
• Report pests and/or disease problems and apply pesticides, as needed
• Keep and maintain records of all chemical applications
• Greet and respond to guest inquiries in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
• Assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships
