SUMMARY

The Recruiting Program Manager will work under the VP of Talent Acquisition to build and execute strategies through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification to promote job openings, career opportunities and the employment brand through various platforms.

The role will be the lead campus brand ambassador and will create and execute the campus brand strategies; will create and execute our strategies around diversity recruitment as well as drive our focus on workforce optimization. This role will be responsible for the planning, development and implementation of the strategic workforce plan and execution of the plan.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop strong campus relationships with colleges and universities through placement offices, faculty, administration, and student bodies to promote the AAP brand and image.

  • Develop and track campus ROI metrics

  • Build an internship program by partnering cross functionally with business leaders from the Retail, Supply Chain, Commercial and Corporate teams.

  • Act as the internship coordinator for the summer interns

  • Build diversity sourcing strategies in partnership with the recruiting function as well as the diversity and inclusion. Identify new sourcing opportunities and metrics to measure our success

  • Leads the development of workforce plans to address business needs by functional area and align staffing for optimal efficiency

  • Defines and executes an appropriate methodology for workforce reductions as well as workforce peaks in hiring volumes

  • Participate in Talent Acquisition meetings and planning sessions.

  • Promote inclusion and an open/equitable work environment for all Team Members. Promote diversity in staffing.

  • Ability to build partnerships with key stakeholders

  • Involvement in other team projects as assigned, including responsibility for recruitment during times of volume increase.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of staffing best practices, recruiting and selection skills (focus on diversity)

  • Strong strategic planning skills/experience.

  • Experience with workforce analysis, reporting and interpreting internal and external data sources

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, decision making and development/planning skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software required.

  • Experience with social media platforms and/or recruitment technologies a plus.

  • Bilingual skills a plus.

  • Ability to travel as necessary - position will require occasional travel to strengthen partnerships with business partners.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in human resources or related field (Master's degree in human resources or related field preferred); and

  • 3 to 5 years progressive human resources experience, with at least 3 years of responsibility for recruiting at a corporate level (retail experience strongly preferred); or 3 years workforce optimization experience

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

PHR certification preferred.
