Caribbean Sales Manager

The Caribbean Sales Manager will represent 84 Lumber on a country specific basis. The incumbent will support the sales and activities for the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and the Bahamas as we grow our international operations in Riviera Beach Florida. Position is based out of our Export Division at our Riviera Beach, FL store.

Essential Functions:

• Travel to country and work with our on-island representative to supply Emergency Disaster Relief products, building materials and social housing programs.
• Research the needs of the country, locate builders, network with prospective customers, estimate needs of customers, quote building materials and manage in-country representative.
• Must be willing and have the capability to travel several weeks of each month.
• International sales, estimating and pricing.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of demonstrated selling experience in building materials supply.
• Must have knowledge of the country in which you will be assigned and speak the native language needed.
• Possess knowledge of building materials and construction, have good customer relation skills and have a strong desire to grow business.
• Preferred industry contacts located in the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and the Bahamas.
• Ability to maintain and grow customer base through prospecting, development, quoting, and follow-up.
• Computer literate with Microsoft Office and email.
• Ability to read blue prints and prepare a material take-off list.
• Ideal candidate must be a self-starter, able to work unsupervised, and possess experience managing people.
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); 2 plus years related sales/customer service experience or building industry experience and/or training.
• Must be willing to relocate to Riviera Beach, FL.
