About this job

The PC Technician sets up, configures, and supports internal and/or external networks, develops and maintains all systems, applications, security, and network configurations, maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals, documents, and software, and supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups. The Technician relies on their experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performs a variety of tasks, and works under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Essential Functions:

  • Respond to helpdesk calls and maintain the local area network.
  • Setting up AD accounts, email, Internet and Right FAX accounts for associates.
  • Setting up and installing laptops, PCs, printers and servers. (software & hardware)
  • Inventory & updating of computer hardware in our database.
  • Monitor all Backup jobs and run restores.
  • Working knowledge of LAN\WAN.
  • Trouble Shooting TCP/IP networks and routers.
  • Creating and updating Ghost Images of PC's and servers.
  • Travel to remote sites to fix, install and upgrade hardware and software at new & existing sites.

Required Skills

  • Active Directory management, Microsoft Windows 8, 10, MS Office 2013 & 2016 and Outlook, Spreadsheets, and Word Processing, Database Software, Inventory Software, Internet Research.
  • Ability to read and write reports, technical procedures, correspondence and procedure manuals; as well as effectively present and respond to questions from fellow employees, groups of managers, clients, and the general public.
  • Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Able to work with limited supervision and get task accomplished.
  • Clean Driver's license record.

Required Experience

  • The minimum requirements for this position are a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or at least 2 years of specific experience and/or training related to the essential functions of the job; or equivalent combination of education and training.
