Regional Design Consultant - Southwest

Job Description

Best Western, a premier worldwide hospitality brand, needs you, a design-savvy consultant, to collaborate with hotel owners to promote compliance with Best Western design guidelines and standards. This unique role will allow you to be client-focused while utilizing your breadth of professional design experience as you leverage your consultative approach to write practical and relevant property improvement plans. As our Regional Design Consultant based in your home office and working with our Southwestern properties, your mission is to provide design consultation, guidance, and direction to member hotels. You will photograph and document the property's design compliance status and make recommendations to property owners on design-related matters while maintaining quality service by adhering to company standards. Your consultative skills will foster an effective partnership with hotel management as you guide them through the Design Excellence process. Successful candidates for the role will have the following:

Experience

• Minimum 4 years related experience in architecture/ interior design for commercial, industrial or institutional facilities
• Hotel industry experience preferred

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture/Interior Design or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Skills

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• May require advanced proficiency in a specific application
• Customer focused with good presentation skills
• Ability to diplomatically communicate deficiencies and required changes
• NCIDQ certification preferred
• Architectural design experience is a plus
• Previous project leadership experience
