Assistant General Manager Position Summary
The Bakery Cafe Assistant General Manager has the responsibility of assisting the General Manager in directing the daily operations of the restaurant. This involves assisting the GM with upholding company standards in all areas of operation, including product preparation and delivery, customer relations, inventory management, recruiting and retention of highly motivated and friendly team members, financial accountability, and ensuring that the highest quality products and services are delivered to each customer.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Serve as a role model in customer-first behaviors
- Assist in Controling day-to-day operations by scheduling labor, ordering food and supplies, and developing the restaurant team.
- Making sure all local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policies are met.
- Assists in recruiting and interviewing team members, takes discipline action, motivates and trains.
- Ensures food quality and 100% customer satisfaction.
- Ensures complete and timely execution of corporate and local marketing programs.
- Ensures a safe working and customer experience environment by facilitating safe work behaviors of the team.
Requirements
Requirements and Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent. One year previous management experience required. Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays. Basic computer knowledge.
Physical Requirements:
Strength to lift - push - or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Standing and walking for six to eight hours. Occasionally stooping and crouching to reach merchandise in display and/or stock area.
