Software Engineer 3 - Professional - Full-time / Part-time

Position Description

Essential Job Functions

• Work closely with product management, UX designers, software architects and cross-functional engineering team to design and deliver software that meets the business requirements
• Responsible for delivering front-end software components and applications to spec as part of an agile development team
• Effectively interact with a cross functional development team to develop user interface deliverables that meet defined business and technical requirements
• Research and stay informed about trends in this space and work with business and technical teams to recommend and implement effective technologies to solve business problems
• Actively participate in design and code reviews
• Write code using industry best practices; maximize impact of software reuse
• Understand the role and use of testing throughout the software life cycle
• Understand and use methodologies that promote the creation of quality software

Education, Experience & Skills

• 4-year degree from an accredited institution. Technical degree in engineering or computer science preferred.
• 5+ years of developing user interfaces for web/mobile using object-oriented design and implementation required
• 3+ years of UI development experience using JavaScript frameworks, AJAX, and other user interface technologies
• 1+ years of architecture design / team management / leadership desired
• Real-world experience using ReactJS or similar MV* framework/library (EmberJS, AngularJS, etc.)
• Experience with modern technologies like HTML5, CSS3, SVG, ES6 required
• Experience with D3 or other charting libraries desirable
• Experience architecting and coding large-scale customer facing applications for web and mobile
• Experience in new product development, agile development and best practices required
