This job posting is reflective of the Support Engineer essential functions, qualifications, and physical requirements. The Sr Support Engineer level has variable essential functions, qualifications and physical requirements. Competency and skill set will determine level of placement within the posted job family.
This person will serve as a concierge for our business facing data and analytics technologies: SAS, Tableau, and Hyperion Interactive Reporting.
Essential Job Functions:
- This person will help end users navigate our request center processes, license management, and troubleshoot any issues associated with these tools.
- This person will foster relationships with IS teams that support our servers, desktops, and databases as extensions of our core team in service to our end users.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Math or equivalent
- 3-5 years experience in data analysis and/or software support
- Expert troubleshooting, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Advanced oral and written communication skills
- Able to learn new technologies quickly
- Strong presentation skills
- Detail-oriented, capable of working independently and within a team
- Working knowledge of databases and data extraction
- Basic understanding of networking and enterprise security measures
Preferred Qualifications:
- Training experience
- Experience mentoring others in data reporting and analysis
- Software administration experience
- Experience using or supporting reporting/analytic tool sets like Tableau, Hyperion, or SAS
- Experience working with vendor software support
- Strong understanding of business functions and processes
