Looking to gain laboratory experience in a chemistry laboratory? We are looking for individuals with their Bachelors Degree in a scientific field who are eager to work and gain experience!
Purpose:
The position of Quality Lab Technician is to perform quality testing for the laboratory. The main function of this role is to perform quality testing on all plant products and materials, to include raw materials and other unique tests as needed. Another function includes the mixing of sealant and preparation of test specimens.
Major Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Performs complex tests, and/or experiments and analyses of materials and product samples to ensure quality products using various testing methodologies and equipment.
Performs calibration of test equipment and standardization procedures prior to its use. Operates experimental, prototype or production test equipment.
Documentation of test results, maintaining records, and preparing summary reports that may be used by other departments.
Assists and trains in basic quality principles and procedures.
Completes special requests from engineers, group leader and/or supervisor. Performs audits of products and processes.
PREFERRED LAB SKILLS
* Experience conducting mechanical testing on sealants, adhesives, coatings or other chemical products
* Adhesion testing
* Use of a Universal Testing Machine (Instron, United or similar)
* Design of experiments or combinatorial chemistry
* Proficient use in Word, Excel, and Outlook
