Job Summary:
Using established guidelines, the Medicaid Analyst II is primarily responsible for accurately and timely processing of assigned tasks and responsibilities.

Your responsibilities:
* Process move-outs per state/MCO guidelines
* Review and analyze resident accounts to ensure charges are accurate prior to refund processing
* Process refunds for Medicaid residents and state Medicaid programs/MCOs
* Perform accurate account research and necessary adjustments based on situation and state/MCO regulations
* Manage and research returned checks
* Comply with company and state Medicaid/Managed Care Organization (MCO) policies and regulations
* Monitor and distribute work tickets through internal system and complete in accurate, timely fashion
* Make standard and routine decisions based on detailed guidelines with minimal independent judgment. Solve problems with clear, detailed guidelines; or, by reporting them to a supervisor
* Deliver quality work including maintaining passing scores on scheduled audits and meeting department deadlines and goals specific to area of responsibility
* Possess professional verbal and written communication skills
* Work the hours indicated by leadership, taking appropriate breaks and lunches as scheduled
* Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact performance and customer experience
* Other duties as assigned based upon business need by manager/supervisor



Required skills and qualifications:
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associate"s Degree preferred
* Minimum three years experience in Healthcare Accounts Receivable or Billing. Long-Term Care Accounts Receivable preferred
* Excellent customer service skills
* Working knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
