Responsibilities:
Support equipment and die downtime in a dynamic fast paced environment. Develop and support equipment and die improvement projects. Support weekend and shutdown equipment and die issues. Support training of other equipment and die associates. Support of the engineering group in short and long term projects.
Daily Tasks:
Work on daily activities as assigned by the team leader. Respond to equipment and die downtime and recovery issues. Monitor equipment and die for potential problems identification. Perform quality and running efficiency improvements to the dies. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance plans and activities. Maintain, organize, clean up, and pick up of work area and department issued tools. Observe and promoted all department safety policies. Quality confirmation of completed work.
Experience:
Minimum three months' experience in the mechanical and/or die maintenance field.
Required Skills:
Ability to analyze equipment, die and process problems and implement repairs and countermeasures for:
Hydraulic cylinder issues
Mechanical issues
Ability to weld and hand finish
Demonstrate solid troubleshooting skills
General computer skills
General electrical troubleshooting
Understanding of 2D drawings
Ability to be a self-starter
Continued learning and training of others
Team player
Honda Factors:
Manufacturing environment
Casting department (hot and moderately dirty)
Off shift position (B or C shift)
5-10 hours overtime a month
Shutdown, weekend, and holiday overtime may be required
Domestic travel for training (1 week annually) required
Degree:
High School Diploma or equivalent
