Job Description:

Performs financial, business and industry analyses, conducts research, and prepares supporting documentation for client credit approval. Supports the origination, underwriting and portfolio management process. Additionally, responsible for managing the credit approval process by managing analysts and the portfolio monitoring team work flow to ensure quality of work and timeline management of deliverables. Other responsibilities and skills include: delivery of underwriting of Structured/Tailored/Complex Credits, Treasury, Capital Markets Products preparation in a timely manner; ensure relevant understanding of macro-economic environment risks, specific industry risks, micro risks and their interrelationship; ensure effective and consistent compliance to established credit and control procedures; demonstrate a foundational understanding of ISDA/CSA and other traded products documentation with the ability to partner with Sr. Officer and/or Industry Lead to establish appropriate terms and conditions to mitigate risk and negotiate said documentation with the counterparty; understanding of the Global Banking & Markets complex product spectrum including; Treasury/Cash Management, Syndications, Merger & Acquisitions (M&A), FX, Derivatives, Securities Products, Commodities, Loans, Leases and other Traded Products; responsible for driving speed to market and asset quality. Must be able to handle multiple projects, deliver high quality and timely results, and provide appropriate coaching and development to junior teammates. Minimum 3 years previous work experience in a Corporate Finance or Accounting related field. BA/BS with a Finance and/or Accounting concentration. Generally promoted or hired as an associate in 2017.

Description

Successful candidate will conduct financial analysis; track portfolio company performance and assess ongoing creditworthiness; prepare credit approval memoranda; and assist in the origination and structuring of senior bank debt and related credit products. You will be expected to build extensive knowledge of each client drawing upon in-depth research and industry expertise. Associates work closely with professionals throughout Risk and Global Banking and Markets, particularly colleagues in corporate banking, trading, treasury management and syndications. Specifically, perform intensive qualitative and quantitative due diligence on industry and company factors. Associates are called on to:

* Research, write and present financial and industry analyses in support of company specific and portfolio level decisions

* Evaluate transaction and relationship risk-adjusted profitability to facilitate the allocation of and return on capital

* On-going monitoring of client's financial performance, industry trends and emerging risks

* Participate in the structuring, underwriting and documentation of credit facilities designed to meet both client and investor needs as well as balance the bank's internal risk/return requirements

* Monitor and manage credit exposure associated with the bank's broad range of products including Loans, Leasing, Foreign Exchange, Derivatives, Treasury Management, Receivable Securitization Conduits, etc.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, with 2-3+ years of banking / credit underwriting experience preferred.

* Strong technical skills, including accounting and quantitative modeling

* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

* Strong combination of academic aptitude, quantitative skills, and strategic and creative thinking.

* Ability to manage multiple complex tasks while delivering high quality results
