Shift Supervisor-3rd Shift Manufacturing

Eastern Metal Supply, Inc. is a quality distributor of aluminum extrusions and manufacturer of a variety of aluminum products.

We are seeking a self-motivated and experienced fabrication / manufacturing shop supervisor for our 2nd shift Riviera Beach, Florida facility. This position is responsible for supervising all aspects of the fabrication / manufacturing and supervising a group of 15 to 20 employees during the evening shift. Must be able to work 1st shift if needed. The candidate must have good problem solving skills, be self-motivated, and possess a hands on approach to training and developing our 3rdd shift team.

Key Responsibilities of the Shift Supervisor consist of:

• Supervise all aspects of the manufacturing facility with a focus on safety, quality and efficiency.
• Understand and operate with GMP and Lean principals.
• Comply with OSHA regulations.
• Establish operational goals for the department to maximize team performance.
• Maintain a clean, safe and positive work environment.
• Write and conduct employee evaluations.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.

• 3+ years experience in a management or supervisory role within fabrication and/or installation of hurricane panels, Bahamas or Colonial shutters.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Proven ability to lead, coach and develop employees to create a team approach.

• Ability to think quickly and independently to react to circumstances out of the ordinary that serve in the best interests of the company.
