Group Leader - Production - Full-time / Part-time

Group Leaders assist the Team Leader in the daily running of the department including the coordination of the work performed by Associates in the production line areas and assist with the auditing of departmental procedures and systems. Under direction, the Group Leader provides direction to all Associates in their shift and ensures production and qualities are within established guidelines. All other duties assigned.

Understanding of Associate Safety

· Ensure safe working conditions for assigned areas

· Effectively communicate all safety issues and ensure corrective actions are timely

· Ownership of GMP’s / Housekeeping in your area

Understanding of Food Safety & Quality

· Ensure product standards meet customer expectations

· Responsible for production paperwork

o Paperwork is correct for the days production

o Paperwork is filled out correctly and signatures are used

o All CTQ test are done

· Ensure associates know what the CCP is for the line and have been trained properly before assigned duties of critical nature

· Verify label versions and code dating

· Ensure the correct packaging materials are used and handled correctly

· Confirm changeovers and cleaning matrix meet quality expectations

· Maintain proper GMP’s with the proper use of gloves, hand wash, etc.

Understanding of Teamwork

· Fosters well-trained, motivated team and is dedicated to their development

· Initiates, organizes, and directs line processes to support and attain production schedule

· Sets priorities and conveys a sense of urgency around 5 daily mandates (associate & food safety, quality, budget, schedule attainment)

Technical & Functional Expertise

· After production schedule is published ensure inventory of raw materials

· Ensure crewing needs are planned and posted

· Confirm bases have been prepared timely and correctly

· Ensure accuracy with ingredients, measures, and proper sequencing procedures to reduce scrap

· Cycle count work centers daily, ensure all production has been entered and consumed. Research and explain all variances.

· Overtime scheduling

· Ensure washroom stays organized
