Job Description

Hydralyte is searching for a high caliber, entrepreneurial sales manager to join the sales and marketing team helping to grow the business across multiple channels, including e-commerce, “brick and mortar” retail, and alternative / specialty retail.

Position Description

The Sales Manager is principally responsible for helping to drive the commercial performance of the US business. He or she will support the sales and marketing team to drive business growth via:

  • New customer acquisition /distribution gains
  • Increased velocity in accounts
  • Management of new channel opportunities

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Providing ongoing analysis re: sales performance and opportunity assessment
  • Managing day-to-day execution requirements for accounts including e-commerce. Includes activities such as broker / buyer communications, oversight of product delivery, and third-party / vendor management
  • Working with the senior team on new customer acquisition including preparation and delivery of the sales story

As a critical member of a small, rapidly growing team, the Sales Manager will have the opportunity to work across a wide-range of channels and deliverables, all focused on ensuring continued growth for the US business.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will:

  • Manage sales analytics for the team, including:
    • Delivering timely and accurate analysis on current sales performance
    • Providing analytic support as needed for new account acquisition
    • Serving as Hydralyte’s primary analytic liaison with third parties
  • Partner with Hydralyte’s digital team to manage the ecommerce business, including ongoing oversight of third-party partners / vendors
  • Serve as the direct account manager and primary point of contact for a select group of key accounts
  • Support the Head of Sales to manage additional, critical accounts, including:
    • Help to plan and execute in-store activation
    • Provide ad hoc analytic support in development of the promotional calendar
    • Help to deliver business updates, including support for category reviews
  • Work with Hydralyte’s senior management team to identify potential channels for business expansion including:
    • Deliver analysis to assess the opportunity
    • Help to identify success criteria
    • Help to create the business plan – including approach to execution

Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a CPG sales-related role (analytics, sales, account management, category management, etc.)
  • Strong Excel / PowerPoint skills required
  • Familiarity working with a brokerage is a plus
  • Familiarity with ecommerce is a plus
  • Strong business acumen and analytic skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt under pressure
  • Focused and confident in decision-making
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
