Key Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

The Store Manager is responsible in directing and managing all aspects of store operations in a manner designed to obtain maximum sales and gross profits through effective utilization of resources and is responsible for the efficient operations of the store.

Store Managers must provide Superior Customer Service and ensure that all store employees are providing Superior Customer Service.

Complete fuel survey at the beginning of the day

Prepare and balance daily reports, deposits and maintain and balance inventory records on a computerized point-of-sale system. Update trend sheets, master spreadsheets and all daily paperwork

Completes daily control counts for Cigarette, OTP and Lottery counts

Sends all required reports within the time frame given

Oversee merchandising, displays and signage

Ensure all prices on shelves match scanned prices

Ensure all shelves and coolers have a price label

Know margins and make Company aware if margins are incorrect

Ensure that all product is being properly checked coming in (purchases) and out (credits) of the store

Controlling purchases

Safety management for employees and customers to ensure a safe workplace

Ensure all employees are in uniform including name-tag

Ensure compliance with all company policies, local, state & federals laws and regulations

Protect Company assets at all times

Completes store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.

Maintains store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

Maintains store staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, appraising job results, preparing and conducting performance evaluations, and handling employee problem solving issues

Achieves financial objectives by monitoring labor hour, scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

Ensures availability of product by ordering merchandise and utilizing a build-to.

Ensuring the store is cleaned and maintained to company standards. This includes inside and outside

Participation in loss prevention control including shrink and spoilage

Determine staffing needs, prepare work schedules, establish and implement work procedures and priorities.

Responsible for shrink, expenses, and payroll as well as maintaining financial profitability by meeting and exceeding margin and sales targets.

Reviews department/store trends, recommends and initiate changes for maximizing goals and objectives.

Ensures food is prepared and handled with company standards of safety, sanitation & merchandise presentation

Comparison shop and report results as directed.

Monitor sales and inventory trends to forecast sales and maintain adequate stock levels.

Maintain operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.

Reads email at least twice per day. At the beginning of the day and at the end of the day
