Job Description
Experience in Manufacturing in print or packaging or Direct Mail Production and Processing with 4 wall experience is required.
• Provide day-to-day leadership and management to the manufacturing organization
• Responsible for driving the company to achieve and surpass operational efficiency, sales, profitability, cash flow and business goals and objectives.
• Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external. Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the company.
• Keeps the CEO fully informed in a timely and candid manner of the conduct of the day-today operations of the business units towards the achievement of its established goals and of all material deviations from the goals or objectives.
• Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective operational processes.
• With respect to operation matters, ensures communications, resolution of issues and project development and implantation and execution.
• Motivate and lead management team; attract, recruit and retain required members of the plant
• Foster a results-driven, accountable environment within the company.
• Ensures continuous improvement processes to reduce deviations, provide on-time delivery, and quality expectations within margin expectations.
Position Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with an Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering or Science focus, minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, in a business with more than $40 million in revenues. Experience with manufacturing improvement processes like 5S, Six Sigman, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, GMP, and knowledge of direct mail production, postal regulations and not-for-profit organizations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Proven ability to drive significant change across teams and functions.
• Strong manufacturing process knowledge with work flow continuous improvement experience
• Demonstrated ability to lead and work with intra-organizational teams and work groups.
• Ability to understand, interpret, and communicate data generated from production activities
• Must have strong experience to provide reports and analysis of financial position and forecasts, develop and implement strategic plans
• Knowledge of principles and practices of modern management and administration, financial analysis, project management and personnel management.
• Must be able to develop business processes and management projects.
