Job Description

Reporting to the Fulfillment Manager the Team Leaders in the Fulfillment Department lead and manage the activities of the shift of workers involved in fulfilling orders for printed signage and graphic materials. The leads assist the supervisor in managing activities related to the fulfillment process but are active working leads involved with product fabrication, order preparation, order pulling, collation and packaging, and shipment processing and manifesting. Leads communicate with their teams and make sure that the order process flow smoothly until they are complete. Team leaders are responsible for workflow management, staffing, all administrative staff management issues as well as department budgetary tracking and development.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the management of cohesive workflow process
  • Ensures correct work is flowing through team in an accurate, efficient and timely fashion
  • Communication of production schedule priorities within the team
  • Ensures that production activities s/he is responsible for are consistent with customer needs (due dates)
  • Ensure accuracy & completeness of reporting and data provided
  • Establish (in conjunction with VP of Operations) and analyze effectiveness of production metrics
  • Monitors collection methods, accuracy and reporting frequency for all metrics and data for improvement
  • Assists with accurate & timely collection and analysis of data used to measure process improvement and workflow management against established department metrics (Daily, weekly, monthly and annually)
  • Develops and provide regular status updates to the pertinent personnel and management
  • Models positive and required interaction between Fulfillment & other departments
  • Refine, communicate, and manage to the department policies and procedures
  • Deliver training (new and existing) activities for the department
  • Assist supervisor with performance evaluations

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years of practical lead experience in a print fulfillment or manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience with the shipping manifesting systems and Small Package Delivery carriers (UPS and FedEx)
  • Previous hands on experience with basic print production fabrication equipment like guillotine cutters and steel rule die cutters desired.
  • Strong working knowledge of PC’s and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work weekends
