Position Overview - Loss Prevention Physical Security Coordinator

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and coordinate physical security issues/installs (Burglar, Fire alarm, EAS, CCTV, Access Control) for new stores, store remodels and corporate facilities.
  • Responsible for managing vendor relationships, recommending purchases, and negotiating contracts.
  • Partner with Loss Prevention team, store management, external clients and others to create and maintain a budget related to Loss Prevention security and service providers.
  • Establish, communicate and enforce Loss Prevention programs with a positive bottom line effect.
  • Review and analyze expenses monthly to ensure compliance with budgets and expense reduction initiatives.
  • Coordinate and manage the procurement of security equipment and supplies to increase efficiency and reduce cost.
  • Consult with LP Partners to ensure adjustments are made in order to facilitate long-term planning.
  • Compile and analyze actual versus budget operating performance reports explaining deviations from budget.
  • Accepts special assignments as directed by the Director of Loss Prevention.

Job Specifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience of Physical Security or Loss Prevention capacity
  • Experience with preparation and management of budgets
  • Able to install, maintain, or repair security systems, alarm devices, or related equipment, following blueprints of electrical layouts and building plans
  • Knowledge of testing and repairing circuits and sensors, following wiring and system specifications.
  • Experience with feeding cables through access holes, roof spaces, or cavity walls to reach fixture outlets, positioning and terminating cables, wires, or strapping
  • Prove experience with identifying, investigating, or resolving security breaches
  • Ability to plan, direct, and coordinate security activities to safeguard company assets, employees, guests, or others on company property
  • Strong problem solving and strategic thinking skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • PC proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Excellent organization, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to meet department deadlines
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation
  • Willing to travel 25% or greater
