Job Description
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To aid in effectively managing the retail store, helping to achieve monetary goals through excellent sales and customer service standards
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Help to exceed sales budgets for the store.
- Actively implement opportunities set forth by the manager to motivate the team through effective leadership and management.
- Assist in the daily operations of the store, including but not limited to opening and closing, ordering supplies, stock room maintenance, etc.
- Aid in the leadership and development of the store team to deliver outstanding customer service and operational excellence.
- To undertake and apply accurate company and store administration procedures.
- Deliver product relevant training and coaching staff on selling skills techniques.
- Ensure visual merchandising standards are developed and maintained to the highest levels, within brand values.
- To be a brand ambassador achieving exceptional retail standards and promoting the brand within the locality.
- Ensure all Health & Safety regulations and Company procedures are adhered to and remedial action is taken if required.
- Undertake any other reasonable activity, as may be required by senior management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Desirable requirements
• High School diploma or equivalent
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
• Experience in a similar retail store management role
• Understanding current market trends
• Excellent people management skills
• Acting with a professional and respectful manner to all individuals
• Effective delegation skills and ability to prioritize work activities
• Able to lead by example to motivate, generate commitment and enthusiasm within the team
• Excellent customer care and selling skills
• Able to analyze external and internal data and translate into actions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build strong relationships internally and externally at all business levels
• Strong problem solving and decision making skills
• Creative thinking with ability to translate into practical application and new ways of working
• Time Management for self and transferring organization to team
• Information Technology skills including: POS systems, Outlook, Word, Excel
• Understanding and implementation of visual merchandising
