General Manager

REPORTING TO: President

SUBORDINATES: VP of Engineering, Production Manager, Quality Manager, Maintenance Manager, Materials Manager

SIGNIFICANT WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: VP of Sales, IT Manager, Bookkeeper, Customer Service, Outside Accountants

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  •  An experienced Manager who has stamping experience, able to diagnose die and
  • setup problems and work with seasoned managers who have strong opinions on
  • how best to improve efficiency and quality output.
  •  Provides leadership for problem resolution and facilitates fast improvements and
  • improved working relationships.
  •  Confidence to enforce company policy and make personnel changes as necessary.
  •  Technical enough to help an inexperienced Spanish speaking workforce develop - Spanish fluency preferred, but not required.
  •  Manages material requirements to increase inventory turns and reduce levels on hand.
  •  Experience with Plex ERP preferred, but not required. If not Plex, at least workedwith an ERP with scheduling, lot control, value stream mapping, inventory.
  •  Identifies, recommends and implements changes to improve productivity and reduce cost and scrap, monitor scrap and rework data.
  •  Directs and coordinates various programs essential to manufacturing procedures such as training, safety, housekeeping, cost reduction, and workforce involvement.
  •  Desire to be an active and honest member of our Executive Team along with the President and VP of Sales to grow our operation while maintaining high profit margins.
