Manufacturing General Manager Mexico Operations

BHI Manufacturing Solutions strives for success in every aspect of our business. We are a highly regarded and successful Metal Manufacturer with an opportunity for a business professional to head our Mexico Operation. This individual will work closely with the CEO as well as the Director of Operations to ensure consistent strategy planning and company culture.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operational

1. Manages and directs the overall operations of the Mexico Facility, meeting performance standards and productivity metrics.
2. Ensures optimal workflow, staffing levels, and equipment utilization to achieve production and financial goals.
3. Ensures that the Plant is in compliance with all Federal, State and Local regulations and requirements.
4. Reviews and analyzes the monthly operational results with the Executive Team.

Business Aspect

1. Interacts and communicates effectively with vendors, customers, and other business associates.
2. Assumes full responsibility of all business aspects of operation including revenue growth, cost management, compliance, personnel development, capital projects, and budget development.
3. Reviews and analyzes the monthly financial results with the CEO.
4. Ensures the proper implementation of the company business plan; monitors this in a regular basis in order to review progress, properly allocates resources and making mid-course corrections, if needed.

Administrative

1. Promotes the company’s mission, vision, values and culture.
2. Ensures the training and development of the skills of the workforce by providing proper guidance and coaching.
3. Establishes the necessary procedures to ensure overall safety of employees, customers and visitors.
4. Supervises hiring, training and terminating employees.
5. Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of facility, equipment, and property through inspections and preventive maintenance programs.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Academic and ongoing education credentials to include Bachelor's degree (Engineering preferred) or its equivalent from a four-year college. An MBA or M.S. Advanced Degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of increasing responsibility in production /manufacturing, including leadership role experience with at least 7 years of the time in senior leadership positions.
• Strong blend of strategic and tactical manufacturing expertise.
• Knowledge base and skills to include hands-on production experience, comprehensive exposure to and use of current manufacturing solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Ability to communicate effectively in English & Spanish is required.

· Experience managing a manufacturing operation

· Must have demonstrated leadership, problem solving and organizational skills.

· Proven track record of on-time delivery, quality and cost.

· Demonstrated ability to lead people in a changing environment and manage production programs with strong operations performance.

· Ability to travel to trade and industry conferences and supplier facilities

· Deep understanding of manufacturing cost accounting and financial statements
