Job Description
Alteration Specialists of NY has openings for a master Tailor/Seamstress, who can work in a high pace skilled environment.
We're looking for bright, driven, and hardworking people who believe in Alteration Specialists of NY's mission. As we provide solutions to all our customer alteration needs. The prospective candidate will be responsible for
• Knowing which garments can/cannot be altered and understanding different fabrics/styling
• Presenting a pleasant and positive attitude to the customers
• Strong understanding of both men’s and women’s alterations, fittings, & garment composition.
• Must know how to take measurements on both men and women’s garments.
• Be accurate and productive in marking and pinning.
• Knows how to use all types of marking tools (rulers, hem markers &…)
• Experience operating on industrial sewing machines
• Must having good sewing skills
Compensation
• Compensation is very competitive. We pay above market rate.
Required Qualifications
• Proven success in alterations and tailoring
• Highest level of professionalism and work ethic
• Must have a minimum of 3 years experience
Across: New York City.
We meet with our clients at 89 5th Ave, Suite 904. or go to outside appointments for corporate clients or private clients.

You need to be proficient in Microsoft Office and computer inputing.
You need to be professional and attentive.
Must be able to work on Saturdays and have a flexible schedule
