The Meat Supervisor is responsible for the supervision, training, mentoring and development of the Meat, Seafood, and Cremeria department. Achieving sales and gross profit commitments are the chief concerns of this position. In addition the Supervisor must maintain outstanding department standards; share solid product knowledge and communicate and standardize all other components of the Meat, Seafood, and Cremeria merchandizing programs; supervise ordering, quality of product, collaborator performance, safety, and inventory, customer service, pricing and merchandising of the category products. Ensure that all sales of products are processed properly.

 

 

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

 

· Encourage and maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with an emphasis on fast, friendly, and courteous customer service. Handle customer relations.

 

· Promote philosophy of personalized service. Engage in suggestive selling and other sales techniques.

 

· Conduct daily inspections of all the sections of the departments to ensure compliance with product quality, sanitation, safety, and security requirements. Initiate and ensure corrective action as required.

 

· Assist in the performance of all Meat, Seafood and Cremeria Department duties as needed.

 

· Direct, motivate, train and participate in the hiring of all Meat, Seafood and Cremeria Department personnel.

 

· Build and maintain team member morale. Resolve informal team member complaints where appropriate.

 

· Implement Company operating and merchandising policies and practices. Prevent shrink, damage, and spoilage of products.

 

· Establish Meat, Seafood and Cremeria Department policies and procedures as required for implementation of Company policies and instructions.

 

· Responsible for performing all job duties with honesty and integrity.

 

· Other necessary and required duties and responsibilities.

 

· Plan-O-Gram Oversight.

 

· Vendor/Customer/Retailer Issue Resolution.

 

· Tactical Category Strategy and Program Development.

 

· Strategic Customer Relationship Building and Maintenance.

 

· Strategic Marketing Program and Plan Development.
