Bakery/Pastry Retail Player

Job Description:

This position contributes to the success of Eatzi’s by assisting with bakery orders, receiving, stocking and display of bakery products (including service and self-service)

Customer Service:

1. Greets all customers with a friendly smile.

2. Honors customers by providing quick, friendly, and personal service.

3. Initiates dialogue and develops rapport with customers by learning their names, favorite products and food items.

4. Generates customer satisfaction; responds appropriately to customer concerns.

5. Communicates customer complaints/concerns to manager on duty.

6. Sells and serves baked goods and pastry food items to customers.

Restocking:

1. Stocking/ restocking

2. Check quality of goods supplied.

3. Good housekeeping. Ensure work station and product displays are stocked, clean, tidy and well presented

Others Duties:

1. Maintains working knowledge of Bakery recipes and prepared bread and desserts.

2. Assists in other departments as needed.

3. Use standard food preparation utensils such as knives, spoons, tongs and whips.

4. Operate power driven equipment such as a bread slicer or mixer.

5. Work cooperatively with other players.

6. To maintaining impeccable personal hygiene as well as high work and safety standards in the workplace is incredibly important for all players.

7. Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to departmental and company

policies.

8. Support and emulate the work culture, policies, procedures, and standardization set for by eatZi’s.

Job Qualifications:

1. Ability to communicate effectively with customers.

2. Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.

3. Ability to read and interpret documents such as department manual.

4. Ability to prioritize work tasks, multi-task, and maintain focus.

5. Positive, optimistic, enthusiastic and self-confident attitude. Operates calmly and proactively in stressful and difficult situations

6. Teamwork is essential.

7. Previous customer service experience.

Working Conditions & Environment:

1. Must be able to work independently.

2. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.

3. Must be able to push or pull food carts weighing up to 40 pounds.

4. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English and speak distinctly and persuasively to others.

5. Required frequently: standing, bending, reaching, scooping.

6. Required occasionally: walking, kneeling, squatting, lifting up to 15 lbs.
