JOB SUMMARY
The Channel Sales Manager will be responsible for driving customer business through VAR and Agent accounts, deliver tools and messaging that support partner onboarding and enablement and accelerate selling. The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver revenue through both customer-facing activity and recruitment of VAR and agent partners as well as accelerating the onboarding and enablement of partners to drive incremental NaviSite business.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Pipeline management and Quota attainment
  • Identifying and recruiting qualified partners
  • Ensuring a clear GTM strategy is set with the partner early in engagement lifecycle
  • In collaboration with Channel Marketing, driving demand with agent and reseller partners for NaviSite services
  • Developing and executing sales enablement/training plan for partners
  • Collaborating NaviSite sales and technical teams to close business
  • Building and maintaining relationships with partner sales teams and sales executives to keep NaviSite top of mind

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
  • A track record of exceeding direct and indirect sales quota; managing strategic partnerships; cultivating new territories and partnerships
  • 8-12 years’ direct and indirect selling experience in high tech environment, preferably from a managed services or cloud provider. Must demonstrate comfort level and knowledge of cloud/Managed Hosting technologies and market.
  • Be a creative thinker, problem solver, possess a winning attitude and be highly motivated by the sale.
  • An Entrepreneurial spirit; enjoys an autonomous work environment and taking charge of his/her business
  • Comfortable working at the c-level to advance NaviSite’s value proposition and overall strategic relationships with partners.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, presentation skills
  • Existing VAR and Agent relationships a plus
  • SFDC experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Generate innovative ideas and challenge the status quo

Education
BS/BA degree and Internet technology background strongly preferred

Extensive regional travel is required
