Nurse - RN or LPN - Full-time

Nurse - RN or LPN Licensed in New York State and graduate of an accredited Licensed Professional Nursing Program or degree from an accredited college or university as a Registered Professional Nurse. Pediatric/psychiatric experience preferred Must demonstrate the ability to work effectively with clients, families, staff and community contacts with a diversity of backgrounds and life situations. Experience in the principles and practices of the inter-disciplinary team approach is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication, problem solving and organizational skills required. Must have a valid drivers license and minimum insurability requirements during employment. Some working knowledge of computers required. Work is typically performed in the clinic, school and residential facility, including travel to multiple sites as related to the position. Able to satisfactorily complete all requirements of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation/First Aid/Automated External Defibrillator.  Administer health services appropriate to the individual needs of the children in care and coordinate effectively with the family. Comply with agency external and internal regulations regarding required health care of residents, employees and volunteers. Provide preventive health care for disease and injury to the children in agency programs by facilitating necessary nursing, medical, dental and related care to accomplish this purpose either by the performance of specific skilled nursing procedures, including nursing assessment, or scheduling the necessary care with the appropriate health care practitioner.
