WGBY-TV Springfield Production Associate Staff/Project Contract Staff Department Production FLSA Classification Nonexempt Reporting To Director of Production Full or Part Time Full-time Affiliation WGBY-Springfield Updated Date 11/10/2017 ~ Department Overview WGBY's Production Department is responsible for supplying all technical production needs to internal departments as well as external clients. ~ Job Overview The primary job function of the production associate is to provide technical assistance to all internal and external production requests. This person will be responsible for performing studio production operations, field production operations, audio recording operations and must have a working knowledge of non-linear editing and file based management workflows. ~ Essential Functions Please provide a percentage weighting for the Essential Functions out of 100% ~ 70% Assist in studio based productions and perform the following tasks or responsibilities, such as: studio camera operations, studio lighting, floor manager and character generation operation. Perform various tasks as it relates to the set up and tear down of station events and activities. Perform audio recordings, playback and edit of recorded audio media. ~ 20%Assist with WGBY field based operations & productions as well as client based field efforts 7%Editing and or digital platform support ~ 1%Stay informed of all station related Events and participate as needed ~ 1%Participate in station Membership Drives, Special Events and other community events and/or activities assigned. ~ 1%Other reasonable related duties as assigned by senior management. Education Associate's Degree required ~ Experience At least 2-3 years of studio and field based production support. ~ Must interface satisfactorily with outside commercial clientele for Production Services ~ Ability to react quickly and positively under a variety of production situation ~ Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks. ~ Strong organizational skills, and ability to work within tight deadlines.MassLive.com.
