Safety and Security Supervisor (part-time)

This is a part-time, Confidential Administrative Staff position for one year with the possibility of renewal. This position holds the internal rank of Supervisor and reports to the Assistant Director of Safety and Security. The incumbent will have general responsibility for life and property protection on the campus and for facilitating the provision of general and emergency public safety services through supervision of personnel on an assigned shift. Requirements: • Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement or related field or a certificate from a public safety course demonstrating a commitment to providing safety and security (consideration will be given for related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience);  • must be at least 21 years of age with a valid Ohio driver's license and driving record which meets College insurability standards;  • willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime coverage for extracurricular campus events; excellent oral and written communication skills (letter of application demonstrating this ability is required);  • experience demonstrating the ability to interact in a sensitive, courteous and understanding way with members of a diverse residential and academic community, including students, faculty, staff and the general public; experience demonstrating the ability to handle several projects simultaneously, as well as the ability to maintain composure in emergency situations;  • experience demonstrating the willingness to work with management personnel to provide a safe and secure campus;  • excellent references.  Any offer made is contingent upon a pre-employment physical and a drug test.
