Physician, Palliative Medicine - Faculty Position Driven to be the best. Mineola, Long Island, NY. NYU Winthrop Hospital seeks a faculty physician for our well-established and growing palliative care program in the Division of Palliative Medicine and Bioethics. Our interdisciplinary team is comprised of palliative certified physicians, specialty trained and/or certified nurse practitioners and social workers, and is responsible for 1100 inpatient consultations annually. The Division is also responsible for a rapidly growing ambulatory palliative practice that includes the institution's Supportive Oncology and Supportive Cardiology Programs. Principal responsibilities for this position include providing palliative medicine consultation to clinically diverse populations in inpatient and outpatient settings and program development to further integrate palliative care throughout the organization. Additional core responsibilities include a faculty role in our ACGME accredited fellowship program in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, teaching in UME, GME, and CME programs, and productivity in scholarship. Must be BC/BE in Hospice and Palliative Medicine and will join over 100 full-time attendings in NYU Winthrop's Department of Medicine.
