HOUSEKEEPING INSPECTOR - Full-time

Housekeeping Inspector - Evening Shift Hiring Range: $27,862 - $31,076 Position #EC122   The Department of General Services, Bureau of Facilities Management is seeking three qualified professional Housekeeping Inspectors. These positions will inspect/monitor custodial contractors to ensure that all areas of the Capitol Complex Buildings are maintained to a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and appearance.   Excellent benefits package including healthcare and retirement!   Supplemented bus passes, ride share, or parking is provided by the agency.   Minimum Qualifications: The selected candidate must be able to work 3:45 p.m. to 11:45 p.m., some weekend and holiday work is required.   Qualifications include extensive knowledge and experience of cleaning techniques, methods, materials, equipment and chemicals for a wide variety of surfaces and materials. Knowledge of safety practices in the use of cleaning chemicals and supplies is essential. The selected candidate must have working skills and knowledge in the operation of power cleaning equipment, such as floor buffers and vacuums. Must have the ability to evaluate the work of contract personnel and to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.   Virginia driver's license required.   Applicant must be able to routinely lift, push, or pull 20 pounds and occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.   Preferred Qualifications: Previous supervisory experience is preferred.   Previous Housekeeping inspection experience is preferred.   High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
