DISTRIBUTION CENTER TRAINING SPECIALIST

JOB SUMMARY

Assesses supervisor and non-exempt associate training and developmental needs. Develops required training in partnership with Home Office Learning and Development and D/C Training Manager.

  • Facilitates, monitors, coaches, and guides technical and leadership training for Distribution Center leaders and non-Exempt associates.
  • Provides coaching, leads discussions and makes recommendations for non-Exempt and Distribution Center Leadership developmental needs. Must be comfortable with all levels of leadership.
  • Facilitates initial classroom training for coach trainers, oversees Coach Trainer program implementation by providing Distribution Center Leadership and Coach Trainers feedback on performance, support, and providing regular upskilling sessions.
  • Assesses training and developmental needs. Partners with Learning & Development Manager and Home Office Learning and Development team to modify, design and develop training programs and materials. Knowledge of ADDIE, SAM, Adult Learning theory, ILT, V-ILT, and eLearning highly desirable.
  • Facilitates training sessions and orientations. Ensures all Distribution Center leadership and non-Exempt orientation and onboarding are conducted on a timely basis. Strong facilitation skills a plus. Monitors program impact through Kirkpatrick and Success Case Methodologies.
  • Consults with L&D Manager, Home Office L&D, Manager of Human Resources, L&D Specialists, and other key stakeholders on a regular basis to assess effectiveness of current training programs.
  • Keeps abreast of current trends and best practices within the Learning and Development industry to continually bring fresh ideas and approaches. Regularly participates in professional development opportunities.
  • Drive and support change management initiatives and processes.
  • Participates in special projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job experience

Strong knowledge and skill in training techniques

Knowledge of DC operations and procedures preferred

Good presentation and communications skills

Knowledge of needs analysis, design, implementation and evaluation skills.

1 year training experience and/or 2+ years DC supervisor experience.

Must be available to work all days and hours

Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Good computer skills with Microsoft applications specifically Word and Excel.
