Quality Engineer

We are looking for a Quality Engineering with experience working within the Automotive industry. Candidate must have Tier One experience (preferably supplying to Chrysler, Honda, or Toyota), a solid work history, and hands-on/production floor experience.

Full-cycle Quality Engineer. This person will deal with customer and supplier issues; as well as be a plant floor Quality Engineer.

Some travel to customer and suppliers is required with notice, but nothing major. A few days a month.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Determines/verifies proposed or established quality and reliability expectancy of finished product with emphasis on interior trim requirements.
• Determines inspection requirements for incoming, in-process, and final inspection and establishes training requirements accordingly for the assigned QC technicians for interior trim product.
• Gathers, analyzes, and interprets statistical data and evaluates product specifications to verify current status of present standards.
• Participate in the preparation of Control Plans, FMEAs, Gage R&Rs, and other PPAP related documents as required for on-time submission to customers.
• Attend and facilitate, as requested, meetings at the Plant level ensuring that current company and customer information is communicated to the appropriate Manufacturing and Quality personnel.
• Represents company in a positive manner to customers and vendors to develop working relationships, solve problems and successfully negotiate discrepancies.
