About this job

Act as Chief Financial officer and strategic business partner to the senior executive leadership team. The CFO is responsible for Heartland Coca-Cola’s financial condition, deciding how to make investments with consideration to risk and liquidity, and oversees and addresses any issues with the capital structure of the company. The CFO identifies and reports what areas of the company are most efficient and how to capitalize on this information.

Description
Strategy, Planning, and Management
• Assess and evaluate the financial performance of organization regarding long-term operational goals, budgets, and forecasts.
• Provide insight and recommendations to both short-term and long-term growth plan of organization.
• Communicate, engage and interact with CEO, COO, and Executive Leadership Team.
• Create and establish yearly financial objectives that align with the company’s plan for growth and expansion.
• Select and engage consultants and auditors
• Recruit, interview and hire finance/accounting staff as required
• Participate in pivotal decisions as they relate to strategic initiatives and operational models.
• Interact with and bring department into line with owner/leaders plans, initiatives, and recommendations
• Implement policies, procedures, and processes as deemed appropriate by the senior leadership team.
Financial Analysis, Budgeting, and Forecasting
• Prepare and present monthly financial actual and budget reports including balance sheet changes
• Review and analyze monthly financial results and provide recommendations
• Identify, develop and execute analysis of business initiatives, product launches and/or new service offers
• Develop and maintain monthly operating budget and the annual company operating budget.
• Manage financial planning and analysis.
• Forecast and planning of long-term needs, EBITDA and capital
• Participate in weekly conference calls with lenders, vendors, and executive leadership team.
Financial Management
• Manage cash flow planning process and ensure funds availability by securing long term debt
• Secure financing for long term debt
• Oversee cash, investments and asset management area
• Analyze and approve capital investments, analyzing internal rates of returns and return on investments
• Maintain outstanding banking relationships and strategic alliances with vendors and business partners.
• Utilize forward-looking models and activity-based analyses to provide financial insight into the organization’s plans and operating budgets.
• Manage risk and insurance.
Financial Relations and Policies
• Engage leadership to develop short term and long-term plans, projections and budgets.
• Represent company to banks, financial partners, institutions, investors, public auditors, and officials.
• Remain current on audit best practices as well as state, federal and local laws regarding company operations.
Cash Management
• Oversee daily cash management, approve large payables, authorize large wires
• Monitor third party accounts receivable strategy and provide guidance relating to the collection policies and accounts receivable balances

Accounting, General Ledger, Administration and Operations
• Analyze systems, databases and financial software for efficiency and effectiveness
• Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems
• Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls, compliance and financial procedures
• Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reporting data for bank lending, owners/investors and company leaders
• Review and hold accountable third-party accounting department performance on service level agreements
• Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements
• Oversee the preparation and timely filing of all local, state and federal tax returns
• Work with HR to ensure appropriate legal compliance
• Guide the third party on month-end close process
• Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations
• Engage external auditors; manage preparation and support of all external audits.

* Bachelor's Degree in Account or Finance
* CPA
* 5 years minimum experience as a CFO
* 15+ years total accounting or finance experience
* Knowledge and understanding of GAAP, IFRS, Purchase Accounting, Acquisition Valuations
* Working knowledge of ERP systems, experience in SAP
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Demonstrated leadership ability including confidence and executive presence
* Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills
* Significant experience working with external auditors, internal controls, and compliance-related issues.
