Responsibilities and Qualifications
OverviewPerforms direct patient care under direct supervision of Registered Nurse consistent with the established standards of practice and the goals of Mercy~Lebanon Hospital. Responsible for supplies, stocking and equipment in the Emergency Department. Will be responsible for checking and changing battery on car lift, blanket warmer temperature and re-stocking warming blankets. Will update EMS system daily and update track board . Clerical duties including but not limited to screening telephone calls, coordinating patient admissions, transfers and discharges, coordinating special tests, scheduling appointment. Obtain pre-authorization for DME supplies. Maintain logs as designated by ED Director. Stock fax machine, copier, and printers to ensure fully functional. Ensures that downtime forms, charge sheets are maintained at designated par levels. Reviews paper light charts to ensure labeled with correct patient identifiers.Will perform these responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, guiding principles and mercy service standards.
Qualifications:

* High school graduate or equivalent
* BLS or obtain within 90 days of employment
* Previous experience and/or training as a certified nursing assistant, EMT, student nurse, or previous ER Tech experience
