The Transmission Calibration Application Engineer is responsible for coordinating development, validating and releasing transmission calibrations for assigned applications. The Engineer will leverage internal and external expert teams to develop the full transmission calibration, assure input provided by stakeholder teams is coordinated and delivered on time, put portions of the calibration developed by expert teams together, and work with vehicle team partners to assure the full calibration meets vehicle-level requirements and is validated. The Engineer is also responsible for employing a rigorous calibration data-management and change management process when accepting calibration changes from internal and external stakeholders. In addition, the Engineer will continuously assess their assigned calibrations relative to corporate best practices and assure lessons-learned on other projects are transferred to assigned projects. The Engineer is also responsible for reporting-out plans and technical status for assigned projects and escalating concerns in an appropriate manner when needed. The ideal candidate for this position is someone who enjoys communicating with others, managing many aspects of a project, reviewing technical data as well as working in-vehicle to validate the overall calibration project. This role offers visibility to all levels of management and opportunity to build relationships with teams around the world. There may be domestic and international travel to validate calibrations for assigned applications across environmental conditions (cold, hot, altitude, etc.).
