About this job

The Driver Assistance System Safety Engineer will be involved with the development of the future semi and fully autonomous driver assistance systems and enablers. This may also include enhancements to existing driving assistance systems such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keep Assist and Blind Spot Monitor or future electrical architecture changes to support such systems. Some of the activities the Engineer will be involved with are identifying the Automotive Safety Integrity Level (ASIL) via hazard analysis, developing safety plans, safety cases, and other ISO 26262 work products. The Engineer will develop fault tree analysis, common cause analysis, and other functional safety related analyses. In addition, the Engineer will interface with other vehicle teams and suppliers. The candidate must have the desire to learn new processes and technologies.
